One of the most famous lakes in North America has been losing its water because the feeder streams have been diverted to Los Angeles. Professor Headful makes an annual trip to Mono Lake with a gallon of Los Angeles tap water, as a symbolic gesture to replenish the lake. The Critter Gitters join him at the lake and learn about a delicate ecosystem that was nearly lost because of urban development.
